Welcome to my new and improved website. My Name is Lorraine Warren . I was born Lorraine Rita Moran the daughter of James and Georgiana Moran on January 31st , 1927 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
I have been blessed with a life that family and religion has been so good to me. At an Early age I started to realize that I was different from most of the other children that were growing up around me.
At the very young age of 9, I started to see a glowing light around people, At the time I did not understand or know what this symbolized. I thought that this was something that everyone could see, but I soon learned that I was wrong. Later in life I learned and studied the lights and found that this is the human Aura. The human aura is the spiritual energy that is cast around all individuals. The one day while attending the prestigious Laurelton Hall Parochial School in Milford, Connecticut. I made the mistake stating to one of my classmates that one of the lights around the sister was brighter then the other nun. Mother superior over-heard her comment about the lights that she saw around people and was punished for this.
When I was sixteen years old I met my future husband, Ed Warren. This meeting as all other events in my life came with a supernatural twist. " My friends and I were going out to the movies." "One of my girlfriends said that she knew a nice boy that she wanted me to meet." Now I was not really into boys at all. I thought they were all rough, loud , and scruffy. Besides that I knew that they could never live up to my brother and father who were gentle and very loving to me. After a little convincing I decided to go that night.
When we arrived at the Colonial Theater on Boston Avenue, there was a young, cute kid, slim in stature ,and dressed very neatly. He was a clean cut and full of fun. This was the boy my friends wanted to introduce me to. This was Ed. After the movie Ed asked us if he could walk us home and we agreed. About a block from my house, one of the girls said " Hey Ed , there is your house you better go." Now you must remember times were different back then. Boy did not normally walk girls all the way to their front doors. My girlfriend knew if we continued on our way, It would just be Ed and I left alone. Ed then smiled and waved good bye to all of us, turning around running across the street towards his home. At that moment , as I watched him, I did not see a young athletic 16 year old. I could see him as he was many years later, as an adult man with graying hair and a more portly stature, the man that I would spend the rest of my life with. In fact when I got home that evening , I wrote in my diary, "I will spend the rest of my life with him."
Ed Warren was born September 7th , 1926. He was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut on the tough side of town the East Side. The area was known as the bloody bucket for many tragic reasons. During the ages of 5- 12 , Ed lived on Janes Street. The house he lived in was one of the reasons he got involved with the paranormal research. Ed believed that the house he lived in was haunted. Ed's father a police officer did not believe that the house was haunted . He believed that there were natural explanations for any event that took place within and out of their home. Ed's father never came up with a logical explanation.
This was frustrating to Ed. He would play outside and when he would return home, if there was no one there he would stay outside. Sometimes staying outside for hours in the freezing cold. ed would say that he saw ghostly images , dark shadows, and hear rapping and knocking noises. These experiences brought Ed to wonder what else was out there and what was he dealing with. This all lead him into researching what he became famous for being the original Ghost Hunter.
A year after Ed and Lorraine met, He enlisted in the US Navy.
